Planning an all day off-roading elopement is the ultimate way to escape the crowds and experience the true rugged beauty of Sedona. It is completely routine to hire a jeep for off-roading here (or bring your own rig!). THIS is the way to go off-grid and experience the beautiful vistas without the hours-long hike. Schnebly Hill Road and Broken Arrow are iconic in Sedona and such a fun way to take it all in if you can handle the bouncing around!
This beautiful elopement started with a mobile hat bar the day prior, put on by the amazing Sage and Stone. I highly recommend Rachel! The eloping couple was introducing their families for the first time and it really made for a fun event while getting to know each other.
The next day we kicked off the afternoon with details, getting ready and a first look with the groom and then later with the family! Everyone loaded up in their jeeps and we sent off toward the ceremony location! We had a beautiful ceremony, celebrated then sent their family down the bumpy road to get set up for their private dinner at their Air BnB. We stayed and played in the golden light on the red rocks for a bit before heading down after.
All in all, this 8 hour elopement was so fun. The timeline was as follows:
Day 1:
5:30-6:15 – Mobile Hat Bar
Day 2:
2:30 – Photographer arrives
2:45 – Details, writing vows in books
3:00 – Bride and Groom final touches, Bride into dress
3:15 – First Look with Groom, then family
3:50 – Load up and head to ceremony site with photos along the way
5:00 – Park and walk to ceremony
5:20 – Ceremony
5:40 – Champagne, toast
6:00 – Family portraits
6:30 – Bridal portraits, first dance
7:10 – Leave ceremony site, start the drive back to Air BnB
8:00 – Private dinner at BnB
9:30 – Toasts and cake
9:45 – End Photos
