It’s impossible to forget this place. Have you ever listened to a song and it zaps you into an instant memory that gives you the warm and fuzzies? This is a place that gives you those fuzzies when you look back on the photo. You’ll remember the gusty wind, the setting (or rising!) sun hitting Sedona, the rugged drive it took to get out there, but most of all it will remind you of how you felt with your favorite person. How close you held each other in such a beautiful location.

I like to incorporate the surroundings into your photos, especially adventure sessions! The above hones in on the beautiful and profound Capitol Butte aka Thunder Mountain.
Fun Fact: Edge of the World sits on the most southern edge of the Colorado Plateau, a place called the Mogollon Rim. The Mogollon Rim consists of a 200 mile stretch from the outskirts of Flagstaff to the border of New Mexico! It’s basically a beautiful shelf that helps show off Arizona landscapes.

I love this location because it is (quite) off the beaten path, it has views of Sedona without BEING in Sedona, there is ooey-gooey light that spills over the pine trees and beyond the rim. Did I mention you can camp here? Dispersed camping is such a great way to experience this area. Know that there are no amenities and it is first come, first served. This is a great time to plug in to leave no trace. You basically want to vanish in the wind and not disrupt your surroundings!

Now for the banger of a photo at my favorite time of the evening which is known as blue hour, the moments right after the sun sets below the horizon. The light is so romantic and you can feel the mood begin to shift.

Don’t be afraid to contact the photographer, take the drive, laugh wholesomely with your partner and allow yourself to craft these memories together. Let this photo pop up in your “5 years ago” memories and give you all the feels. Remember the smells, the colors, the views and most importantly – each other! If you have even a spark of joy looking through this, fill out this form and let me take you to amazing places!
Cheers,
Clarie
